Cytek Biosciences needed to clearly explain their advanced Aurora Full Spectrum Cytometer through animation. My challenge was to translate incredibly complex scientific principles into an engaging, universally understandable visual story.

The first task was a crash course from the (thankfully patient!) Cytek team on full spectrum flow cytometry. I needed to understand the complex science before I could translate that to an effective animated video.

A Distinct Visual Approach
The team wanted to avoid the realistic CG look, so I developed a 3D world with a flat vector aesthetic that could flex to both a human and molecular scales, essential in visualising some of the more complex processes and ideas.

A key challenge was balancing scientific visual conventions with an effective aesthetic. We carefully designed visuals to be both accurate and engaging, ensuring the animation resonated with scientists and non-scientists alike.
